Texas State University is committed to the provision and maintenance of appropriate physical facilities which contribute to a comfortable and conducive learning and working environment. The following procedures contribute to the fulfillment of this policy.
The purpose of this document is to establish policies, priorities, regulations, and responsibilities for campus departments and registered student organizations to post messages on the electronic message board located behind Evans Auditorium in the quad area of the Texas State campus.
GENERAL OPERATING PROCEDURES
The electronic message board is a non-public forum designated for general information to the entire university.
The sponsoring campus entity should submit the message request at least 10 business days prior to the event by completing the Electronic Message Request Form (Quad Marquee).
* The LBJ Student Center Marketing office, in consultation with the Student Center director, may edit messages to promote brevity and uniformity.
Messages are generally limited in posting duration to five business days.
Electronic messages will be approved according to the following priorities:
Priority I – administrative information of concern to all students;
Priority II – events open to the entire university community that are sponsored by campus entities; and
Priority III – general information announcements that are of interest to the entire university community.
Messages that promote commercial interests or political campaigns are not permissible.
* The LBJ Student Center Marketing office will notify campus departments within two business days if the electronic message board request is denied or if more information is needed before posting a message.
Questions about the Quad Electronic Message Board should be directed to the assistant director of the LBJ Student Center Marketing office.
