We at Texas State University are committed to the provision and maintenance of appropriate physical facilities which contribute to the comfortable and conducive learning and working environment. The following procedure contributes to the fulfillment of this policy.
The purpose of this SA/PPS is to establish policies, priorities, regulations and responsibilities for campus departments and registered student organizations to post messages at the electronic message board located behind Evans Auditorium in the quad area of the Texas State campus.
GENERAL OPERATING GUIDELINES
The electronic message board is a non-public forum designated for general information to the entire university.
The sponsoring campus department should submit the message request at least 10 business days prior to the event by completing the Electronic Message Request Form.
The Coordinator of Conference Services (CCS), in consultation with the Student Center Director, may edit messages to promote brevity and uniformity.
Messages are generally limited in duration to five business days.
Electronic messages will be approved according to the following priorities:
Priority I – Administrative information of concern to all students.
Priority II – Events open to the entire university community that are sponsored by campus departments.
Priority III – General information announcements that are of interest to the entire university community.
Messages that promote the commercial interests of non-university businesses and organizations are not permissible.
The Student Center Conference Services Office will notify campus departments within 48 hours of submission if the electronic message board request is denied or if more information is needed before airing a message.
Questions about the Quad electronic message board should be directed to the Coordinator of Student Conference Services.
