- To promote outstanding customer service among the employees of the Finance and Support Services (FSS) division, the Vice President may, at any time, grant a Customer Service Career Achievement Award to any FSS staff member or retiree who has exhibited, over an extended period of time, the qualities and attributes so as to be universally recognized as an example of outstanding or “legendary” customer service.
PROCEDURES FOR THE AWARD
The Customer Service Career Achievement Award is given at the sole discretion of the Vice President for Finance and Support Services.
The Vice President may present the selected recipient with the award unannounced at the employee’s work site, at a special event arranged for this presentation, or at another function determined to be suitable for the presentation.
The award will be commemorated with a certificate or plaque presented to the selected employee.
The award may be given to a retiring employee in recognition of an outstanding career of customer service.
The award may be, but is not required to be, accompanied by a monetary award from the Vice President’s allocation from the performance award funds budgeted for the FSS division in the annual operating budget.
